In placing such transactions, or advising their execution, Atlantic Capital Strategies, Inc. considers the objectives of the client, limitations or restrictions in underlying documents (e.g. policies,) as well as applicable local and federal law, the client’s ability to tolerate risk, liquidity needs, tax status, as well as any special instructions established by the client.

Clients may impose restrictions on investing in certain securities or types of securities. Robert B. Segal, 63, founded Atlantic Capital Strategies, Inc. in 2008 and is the sole owner. He was previously employed at J. William Mantz Investment Advisors LLC, where he was chief executive officer. His career includes banking experience with The Massachusetts Company, Clinton Savings Bank, Enterprise Bank & Trust, BayBanks and Patriot Bank. His experience as the sales manager for lending, secondary marketing and loan servicing adds credit proficiency to the experience base that the company offers to advisory clients. Mr. Segal is a CFA and a member of the Board of Directors for the Financial Managers Society. He writes frequently for periodicals related to banking and finance. He attended the Massachusetts School for Financial Studies at Babson College, has an M. S. in Finance from Boston College, and a B. A. in Economics from Bowdoin College.
